Let’s face it: The NFT space moves really fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.

Don’t get us wrong — the more people onboarded into the space, the merrier. But because of the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the news, launches, and general happenings.

Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you, as we’ll be coming up with a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss.

Concretes – Back to Earth

Who: Federico Clapis

What: Drawings and open edition

Why: Federico Clapis is a contemporary Italian artist who for years produced viral videos on social media without ever revealing his identity. Having broken into the NFT space at the beginning of 2021, the celebrated artist now returns to NG for his second drop which will feature unique mechanics and collector rewards surrounding his highly-detailed digital sculptures.

Rug Radio Genesis NFT Drop

Who: Farokh & Co.

What: 19,000 Membership NFTs

When: Jan. 11 @ 4 p.m. ET

Where: Rug.fm

Why: Farokh is aiming to create the first fully decentralized Web3 media company with Rug Radio. With the public sale of 19,000 membership passes complete, the genesis NFT will be available to mint over a period of 72 hours for members only starting Jan. 11. Who: Alexander Van Glitch

Why: Alexander Van Glitch is an Italian artist whose pixelated, glitchy pieces aim to simplify, fragment, and distort the subjects of his works. Why: Ola Volo is an illustrator, muralist, and painter originally from Kazakhstan, now based in Montreal. One of the most influential female artists out of Canada, Volo found it easy to bridge her unique style into the NFT ecosystem and now presents her genesis drop on the NG platform. The collection will feature five NFTs, each of which embodies the indulgence, elegance, and majesty of Ola Volo’s favorite subject, Queens.

Miss Focket as Beaumont

Why: Loulou João is an Afro-Belgian 3D illustrator and animator who aims to change the narration and representation of women belonging to the Afro diaspora through her whimsical art. With her first-ever MakersPlace drop, Loulou taps her popular character Miss Focket for a reimagination of Jean-Paul Goude’s “Carolina Beaumont, New York.”

Why: MiraRuido is a sound technician, illustrator, and animator who has worked with the likes of the Wall Street Journal, Esquire, National Geographic, Amazon Studios, Green Day, and more. Having easily found a foothold in the NFT space with his unique, collage-esque pieces, the Spanish artist starts 2022 with his first drop on NG, which will feature four NFTs symbolizing the never-ending cycle of life.

Why: In the years since becoming a driving force in the world of art toys after designing his first toy for Fisher-Price at the age of 18, Tristan Eaton has become one of the most prominent international muralists. Having effortlessly distilled his unique, large-scale pieces down to NFTs, Eaton will now release a new, large-scale PFP project.

Who: Andre Oshea

What: Four animated NFTs

Why: Andrea Oshea is a 3D animator and prominent Black crypto artist who has quickly risen to prominence over the last year. With his latest collection, he joins the ranks of newcomer NFT platform LGND for a four-piece drop about death, choices, love, and acceptance.
