Doodles: Closing the Gap Between URL and IRL
Doodles: Closing the Gap Between URL and IRL
Evan Keast (AKA Tulip) and Jordan Castro (AKA Poopie) are two of the co-founders of Doodles, one of the leading profile picture projects (PFP) in the NFT space. The collection of 10,000 generative NFTs has amassed more than 102,700 ETH in sales volume ($305,016,749) since its launch in October 2021. Doodles features original art created by third co-founder, Scott Martin (AKA Burnt Toast), who produced hundreds of unique visual traits for the collection.
While many avatar projects market themselves as community-centered, Doodles has been about empowering its community from the very start. The team is all about working to bridge the gap between URL and IRL with multi-city takeovers, activations, installations, and more.
In our latest episode of the nft now podcast, we cover the importance of building community through IRL events, the team’s SXSW activation with Shopify, how founders can avoid bots when launching a project, and much more.
