With almost 1 billion users, LinkedIn is getting ready to roll out a suite of AI features that will enhance the entire user experience, beginning with its employer recruitment platform.

Recruiter 2024, an AI-empowered recruitment platform, is LinkedIn’s latest innovative solution to better streamline hiring and enable talent acquisition specialists to devote their time to “more strategic, human-centric tasks.”

Indeed, talent acquisition has always been a challenging endeavor – from exhaustive searches and cold emails to hopeful introductory interviews that accurately reflect touted experience levels.

A report from Greenhouse revealed that overall, 80% of HR professionals have used or are considering using generative AI in the hiring process. This gradual shift in recruiting techniques is simply a further indication that automation is inevitable.

LinkedIn’s extensive database, which comprises insights from over 950 million professionals, 65 million companies, and 40,000 skill sets will be the underlying foundation of Recruiter 2024 in its mission to provide “faster and more accurate candidate shortlisting.”

In a blog post, the company shared preliminary feedback, indicating an overall positive response with 74% of recruiters stating that the feature has saved them time.

Microsoft, the parent company of LinkedIn, is also a major investor in OpenAI, which explains why many of these updates will mirror some of the capabilities and features of ChatGPT, including natural language and chatbot functionality.

One of Recruiter 2024’s biggest standout features is its natural language processing capabilities. Hiring managers can input their requirements in conversational language, such as “I’m looking for a senior growth marketing expert.”

By leveraging LinkedIn’s vast data, the generative AI tool will enable the platform to provide suggestions specifically tailored to the recruiter’s needs, while also relieving them from relying solely on candidates from “renowned corporations.”

“We aim to ensure exceptional recruiting experiences through innovative solutions, and we are excited to partner with LinkedIn on this journey,” says Markus Kumpf, head of recruiting technology and innovation at Siemens. “We look forward to using new Recruiter 2024 features like the AI search experience to make finding the right candidates easier for our recruiters.”

The company also says that it can provide “real-time, personalized nudges” to help expand or modify the search, such as suggesting expanding a targeted location, adding the fastest-growing skills based on that role, or even recommending a hybrid role.

CRM Connect

In addition to Recruiter 2024, LinkedIn will also be launching CRM Connect, an integration that connects LinkedIn Recruiter and Candidate Relationship Management systems to give recruiters a more efficient way to work across both systems.
