There’s nothing quite like the feeling of waking up on a Monday and realizing you missed out on some incredible drops over the weekend.

It can be truly disheartening to find out that an awesome project launched, minted and sold out all while you were tied up with a wedding, camping trip, or multiday metaverse bender.

Don’t go FOMOing into anything just yet though, because every Monday, we’re bringing you a roundup of the art, collectibles, airdrops and more you missed while you were away.

Gucci x Superplastic

Superplastic light up the holiday season last week by dropping some massive news. Taking to social media, the iconic toy and apparel company announced a partnership with legacy fashion house Gucci.

Although little is yet known about the forthcoming collaboration, considering Gucci called out Superplastic characters Janky and Guggimon via Instagram, it’s likely we’ll see the flagship figures included as part of the final partnership. As Superplastic has worked with larger-than-life fashion brands The North Face, Balenciaga, and more in the past, this latest endeavor may end up being huge for metaverse x IRL wearables.

ChainFaces Arena

Influential collector Nate Alex revealed his secret project over the weekend. Having teased an exclusive Discord for more than a week, opening and closing the server numerous times while racking up thousands of members, the NFT OG finally unveiled ChainFaces Arena on the first of the year.

ChainFaces Arena came as the anticipated “spiritual successor” to the original on-chain generative ASCII text faces launched in January of 2020. Now only available via OpenSea, the arena part of ChainFaces Arena is an NFT battlefield where collectors can enter their tokens in hopes of winning a share of a crypto bounty.

Visions from the Metaverse

Annibale Siconolfi has continued to surprise the NFT community with his impossibly detailed futuristic cities and landscapes. With his latest NG drop, the talented artist presented a well-rounded collection of drawings as well as an auction. Featuring unique themes surrounding the relationship between nature and technology, Visions from the Metaverse highlighted scenes that felt both utopian and dystopian.

Cath Simard & John Knopf Open Editions

Celebrated photographers John Knopf and Cath Simard each independently released their first open editions over the weekend. As both Knopf and Simard have become coveted 1/1 NFT photographers over the last year, these edition sales brought numerous new collectors into their growing communities. As NFT photography continues to gain popularity within the NFT ecosystem, it’s likely we’ll see more crypto-artists take a page fro Knopf and Cath in pushing the boundaries of the field.
