One artist serves as the subject of the digital portrait, while the other artist acts as the “painter”, providing a palette of colors from their own self-portrait. This portrait is created from keyboard keys as a nod to the code from which they are generated. The keys then spell out the names of the artists, symbolizing their joint effort. The resulting portrait can be static but also exists as a dynamic, real-time piece. As a dynamic piece, a virtual lighting studio spins around the face, causing the lighting of the face to evolve, reflecting the passing of time and the evolving nature of art.
