Starbucks Celebrates 20 Years of Pumpkin Spice With NFT Stamps
Starbucks revealed its new Pumpkin Spice Latte NFT collection on October 5, in celebration of its signature beloved seasonal drink’s 20th anniversary.
The Open Edition NFT collection is powered by Nifty Gateway and is now available from October 5 to 9 through its Web3 platform, Starbucks Odyssey. With a price tag of $20, each Pumpkin Spice Latte NFT stamp comes in four styles – Spiced, Iced, Whipped, and Steamed.
For Odyssey members, purchasing a stamp earns them an additional 250 points, which can be utilized to advance in the Starbucks Odyssey 2023 journey. However, these points are valid only until the end of 2023 and pertain solely to promotional purposes within the Starbucks Odyssey initiative. Transferring or selling this Stamp will lead to the removal of these bonus points from your yearly Starbucks Odyssey score.
Members can acquire a maximum of four Stamps from this set. The design specifics will be disclosed by October 10, 2023, before midnight PDT.
With an impressive roster of 31.4 million active U.S. members, Starbucks Rewards stands as a giant in the loyalty program sector. Their Odyssey program positions them as pioneers in the integration of web3 technologies into loyalty programs, indicating a forward-looking approach to onboarding the masses.
Last week in celebration of National Coffee Day, renowned artist, Vinnie Hager announced his partnership with Starbucks Odyssey and the artwork he created for it.
Since December 2022, Starbucks has been exploring Odyssey as its new Web3-powered rewards program, bringing Odyssey members through a series of “Journeys” that include online games, quizzes, activities, and purchase incentives. Members earn collectible Journey Stamps, which come in the form of an NFT that affords them special access to different, immersive coffee experiences.
Those who manage to collect all four NFTs will unlock a mysterious “opportunity,” however, not much information is known at this time about what that entails. The actual artwork of each NFT stamp will be revealed on October 10.
