Let’s face it: The NFT space moves really fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.

Don’t get us wrong — the more people onboarded into the space, the merrier. But because of the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the news, launches, and general happenings.

Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you as we pull together a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s what to look out for this week.

The World is Quiet Here

Where: Nifty Gateway

Why: For her first-ever drop on Nifty Gateway, Indonesian artist Holakanola aims to open a doorway to her imagination with three animated open editions. As the self-proclaimed “Mother of Fairytales” of the NFT space, these new pieces from the multidisciplinary artist reflect the bright, whimsical style she’s been honing over the years.

Why: Iconic free peer-to-peer file-sharing client LimeWire has returned from the dead in 2023 as a Web3 company. Billed as a platform for content creators, artists, and brands to create membership-based communities, the reimagined company will launch a 1 billion ERC-20 utility token sale as the lifeblood of its new ecosystem.

Why: On May 2, Jeremy Cowart — a painter, illustrator, and photographer known for working with celebrities like Barak Obama, Taylor Swift, the Kardashians, and more — will take to the stage at Vū Nashville for less than half an hour to publicly reveal his creative process for the first time. Using himself as the canvas for a project, the multifaceted creator will don a white mask and project hundreds of images at himself from several different angles to create 10,000 NFTs in 20 minutes.

Why: Classically trained Korean artist Dain Yoon — known for her stunning illusion paintings that use her skin as the canvas — is set to enter the NFT space via a collaborative drop with Web3 IP brand Super Normal. With Visionary, Yoon has used generative AI technology and a set of over 200 hand-drawn traits to imbue her unique style and innovative approach into an eclectic fine art collection.

Why: Presented by Audio Galleries, Flowers, Flowers, Flowers from Philip Colbert is a celebration of the profound universal symbol of the flower. Paying homage to Andy Warhol, Colbert aims to bring the late artist’s floral-inspired visuals into the 21st century with this series of highly stylized generative blooms.

Where: Adidas Confirmed

Why: Adidas is combining the power of the blockchain with the lure of the sneaker drop in a new raffle hosted via the Adidas Confirmed app. From April 27 to May 3, fans can use the Confirmed app to sign up for a raffle to win a Golden Ticket NFT. This can be used to obtain a guaranteed spot in any “hype draw” drop within the next year. The winner will be chosen on May 5.
