BY Andrew Rossow

October 02, 2023

Let’s face it: The NFT space moves really fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.

Don’t get us wrong — the more people onboarded into the space, the merrier. But because of the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the news, launches, and general happenings.

Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you as we pull together a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s what to look out for this week.

Why: The main aim of the Builders Box (BB) by The Builders DAO is to create a sense of community, to reward those who have believed in the project from the beginning while simultaneously supporting the real builders of the space.

Same City, Same Passion by Power of Women

When: October 1 at 7:00 a.m. ET to October 4 at 7:00 a.m. ET

Where: OpenSea

Why: “Same City, Same Passion” by Power of Women celebrates the start of the Women’s Super League Season 2023-24 and draws inspiration from Manchester City’s Same City, Same Passion campaign, which focuses on promoting women’s football by demonstrating that the same skills, same excitement, and same passion exist wherever a ball is kicked. This marks the football club’s first dynamic digital artwork.

Oculus by Ben Skaar

Who: Ben Skaar

What: The second piece of the “Boy’s Quest” series as part of AOTM’s ‘Ephemeral Visions: Exploring Transience through Art’ auction.

When: October 3 at 10:00 a.m. ET to October 5 at 10:00 a.m. ET

Where: AOTM Gallery

Why: Oculus by Ben Skaar is the second piece to the “Boy’s Quest” series, a body of work representing lessons he has learned through art, repackaged and shared as fragments of his own expression. It is a story of perception and about seeking out beauty and light, even when it seems there is no point. Don’t just sink into the sand, Skaar encourages. Instead, look toward whatever you can find inspiration in and climb toward that horizon. This marks Skaar’s very first 0 ETH reserve auction.

When: October 5 at 10:00 a.m. PT for 48 hours

Why: “Figments” is Amber Vittoria’s first solo generative collection. Pieces in this series celebrate the thoughts that don’t quite make it to reality, the dreams we decide to keep as just dreams. Each piece is a visual representation of these notions, nodding to the joy that is ideating.
