Animoca Brands, AWS, and Polygon Labs Start Accelerator For Web3 Innovation

Animoca Brands, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Polygon Labs have unveiled the MoonRealm Express Accelerator, a new initiative aimed at catalyzing the growth of the Web3 ecosystem on a global scale. This strategic partnership is poised to turbocharge the development of Web3 products and solutions, primarily through Animoca Brands’ flagship endeavor, Mocaverse.

The MoonRealm Express Accelerator’s mission is to propel advancements in emerging areas of Web3, including decentralized identity, SocialFi, and GameFi. The ultimate goal is to inspire innovators to conceive and execute groundbreaking ideas within the expansive Mocaverse ecosystem.

The program, which launched yesterday (Nov. 16), aims to nurture budding talents and help transform their visionary concepts into tangible real-world solutions. The program promises to facilitate innovation across a Web3 startup’s entire growth journey. From fostering creative ideas to providing Web3 masterclasses, builder-centric hackathons, and incubation opportunities for high-quality projects, MoonRealm Express Accelerator is set to become a game-changer in the Web3 landscape.

The inaugural cohort of this accelerator program will focus on enhancing the Mocaverse ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on the recent introduction of Moca ID and Realm Points on the Polygon chain. As part of its agenda, the program will organize its first hackathon in early 2024, challenging builders and projects to devise protocols that leverage and expand the Moca ID on-chain identity ecosystem and incorporate Realm Points as essential assets.

The hackathon tracks will encompass Web3 Identity, Web3 Social, and Web3 Growth, all geared toward elevating Mocaverse’s status as the premier platform for Web3 loyalty programs. This ambitious vision is underpinned by the combined expertise of Animoca Brands, the robust capabilities of AWS, and the extensive network of Polygon Labs, which will foster collaborative efforts spanning Web3, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technologies.

As a key technology enabler and partner, AWS has committed a substantial investment of US$1.1 million to support up to 500 eligible startups in the inaugural cohort. AWS’s support includes providing startups with cloud resources through AWS Activate, a series of technical masterclasses, exposure to venture capital for fundraising opportunities, go-to-market support, and more. Yaniv Donenfeld, global head of Web3 GTM at AWS, emphasized the transformative potential of Web3 and expressed excitement about aiding startups in leveraging AWS cloud capabilities in collaboration with Animoca Brands and Polygon Labs.

Polygon Labs, meanwhile, will play a pivotal role by offering workshops designed to equip participating Web3 startups with the knowledge and skills essential for success in this rapidly evolving field. They will also provide cash bounties for hackathons, and solution providers in the Polygon ecosystem will offer vouchers for services that can assist these startups.
