Party Degenerates, an NFT collection led by prominent collector/investor Seedphrase and entrepreneurs Aleks Knapic and Raluca Cherciu, has revealed details surrounding its impending launch. Toting a supply of 10,000 NFTs designed in part by prominent crypto artists Blake Kathryn, Cory Van Lew, FVCKRENDER, Hackatao and more, the project’s mint date is set for Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. EST on the project’s website.
The NFTs, according to the site, represent “the rebellious spirit of those who choose to celebrate life, rather than merely living it.”
Seasoned crypto investor and NFT influencer Seedphrase has been slowly building his latest offering for months. “Party Degenerates is a culmination of my years of experience in the NFT space,” he tells nft now. “We’ve managed to combine distinct artwork, long-term utility, proven on-chain randomness on reveal and charity for emerging artists.”
Set up to launch as a dutch auction come Oct. 17, each Party Degenerates NFT will start at 2.5 ETH per mint, with the price slowly reducing to 0.5 ETH over a period of 24 hours. Each token in the collection will be a unique, programmatically generated piece of art with varying traits and rarities.
While Party Degenerates boasts an impressive list of membership benefits for future collectors — including digital and real-life events, exclusive merch, commercial rights and more — it may well be the first generative avatar project set to drop without revealing any of the collectible artwork prior to mint. Besides perks for token holders, the project will also be doing some good in the world. According to the website, 10% of all secondary sales will help support artists and musicians.
Ahead of sharing the launch details, Party Degenerates has been creating hype and establishing its fun-loving ethos by becoming a sponsor for OneOf’s upcoming NFT.NYC afterparty, which takes place Nov. 1.
Disclosure: Seedphrase is an investor and advisor for nft now.
