After a volatile stretch, the NFT space is quietly finding its rhythm again — and this time, the beat sounds different.

The past few months have ushered in a wave of promising momentum: Telegram is integrating NFT-friendly mini apps to a user base of one billion. NFTs are being used for everything from trading phone numbers to stickers. OpenSea reached the half-million active user mark this month. A figure similar to the all-time highs of 2021 and 2022. NFTs sold on OpenSea climbed back to 2 million a month.

A resurgence is underway — this time driven by lower-cost, highly collectible NFTs.

There is a shift in how mainstream audiences are interacting with NFTs. It’s no longer just about floor prices or flipping anymore. It’s about collecting something meaningful, remixing it with friends, unlocking physical products, or simply enjoying a piece of culture that feels personal.

A16z reported on this topic in their State of Crypto 2024 announcement that “NFT activity appears to have shifted from high-volume secondary markets to low-cost social collecting experiences”.

In 2025, this shift has only gained further momentum. Platforms like Zora and Rodeo are leading a new era of collecting that’s more familiar, creatively rich, and culturally relevant. NFT collecting is no longer reserved for crypto whales or early adopters — it’s becoming something anyone can participate in, enjoy, and feel part of.

What Artists Want: More Collectors, Wider Appeal

To better understand how NFT artists envision the future of the space, NFT.NYC and OneHub conducted a recent industry survey. More than 300 artists participated, offering valuable insights into their needs, challenges, and aspirations.

The biggest takeaway? 96% of artists said they need support in finding collectors and want to reach a broader, more mainstream audience.

Another particularly striking insight: 81% of artists said they support having an “ultra-affordable” pricing option alongside premium offerings. Their responses highlight a growing belief that mainstream adoption requires mainstream pricing:

“Art is for anyone. We need Art that is easy to collect.”

“I see potential in broader accessibility and regular incremental income.”

“NFTs are no longer an investment like it used to be, this is more for the love of art, to get an investment being a fan of an artist.”

Enter SnapNFTs: A New Standard for Digital Collecting

Recognizing this need, the team behind NFT.NYC and OneHub have launched SnapNFTs—a new class of digital collectibles designed to be easy, fun, and affordable for all. These bite-sized NFTs live inside a new app: Collect.

Introducing Collect: An NFT Platform for Everyday Collecting

Collect is an experience built around feeds, discovery, utility (including trading), and ease of use.

It reimagines NFTs as something familiar and fun — directly addressing a key challenge raised by artists: onboarding new audiences to Web3.

The design of the Collect app addressed recent comments from the NFT Creator community. NFT Creators care about clear license rights for their Artwork. Artists want collectors to derive value from the NFTs they own. Perhaps most importantly, NFT Creators want to earn royalties in perpetuity for their Art and decide how they want to be paid out.

Here’s what sets Collect apart:

What Collect Offers Creators

OneHub is a creator’s branded HQ — where creators control their content, drops, and community. It’s built for deeper relationships with fans who already follow their work.

Collect is a creator’s viral discovery engine — a swipeable, mainstream-friendly platform where new collectors can find their work, collect SnapNFTs or SuperSnaps, and start engaging with their digital creations.

And here’s where it is powerful:

Traffic from Collect often drives new fans to their OneHub. Once on a Creator’s OneHub, they can build a direct, long-term connection — turning casual collectors into superfans.

Collectors can also remix, display and resell SnapNFTs, putting their digital assets to work in fun and creative ways — and every action drives more visibility and earnings back to the original Creator.

Together, OneHub and Collect give creators reach, control, and recurring income — a complete toolkit for growing their audience and career in Web3.

Range of minting options

Collect is launching with two minting options.

SnapNFTs:

SnapNFTs are the most common type of NFT on Collect.
SnapNFTs are open to all creators and follow fixed pricing and drop schedules to keep collecting consistent and easy.

SuperSnapNFTs:

SuperSnaps are a special type of NFT unlocked by standout SnapNFT creators and OneHub artists, with more flexibility on pricing, reveal style, limited supply, and no time limits on drops.

For Creators who want full control over blockchain, pricing, payment methods, drop logistics and more – simply mint directly via OneHub. Check out our guide for reference.

Be discovered by the broadest audience

  • Collect is designed to put your work in front of the broadest possible audience — from seasoned Web3 collectors to everyday fans discovering NFTs for the first time.
  • Its familiar, swipeable format makes collecting feel intuitive and fun, removing the usual Web3 friction

Earn through multiple revenue streams

  1. When Someone Collects a SnapNFT
Every time someone collects a SnapNFT, the Creator earns instantly.
    It’s that simple.
  2. When Content is Remixed
Collect encourages creativity and collaboration. If another creator remixes an existing SnapNFT, the creator continues to earn from the remixed versions.
  3. Inspire Others to Collect
Love a piece, then share it! Referrers earn when someone collects based on their recommendation.

Fast, Transparent Payouts

All earnings are governed by a set of decentralized smart contracts, ensuring trust and transparency. Here’s what that means for creators:

  • On-Chain Payments: Every transaction is recorded on the blockchain for full transparency.
  • Instant Payouts in USDC: No delays. Get paid instantly in stable, spendable USDC, earning more than on traditional platforms.
  • Flexible Withdrawals: Transfer earnings to a Coinbase account or any external wallet.
  • Easy Top-Up and Payout Flows: Seamless user experience, whether cashing out or funding a wallet.

Collect gives creators more than just exposure—it provides real income streams.

What Collect Offers Collectors

Collect is designed for today’s digital culture — fast, fun, and deeply rewarding.

With a swipeable feed that feels instantly familiar, Collect makes discovering digital art as natural as scrolling a favorite social app.

Collecting is seamless — just one click to own a SnapNFT, with no wallet setup or technical steps required. It’s built to be familiar, whether you’re deep in Web3 or completely new to it.

And once a SnapNFT is collected, the experience continues. They can be remixed into new creative works (with the original artist’s approval), displayed on digital screens, turned into physical items like prints and apparel, or resold — all while carrying a personal license.

Collectors can also earn 80% of a secondary sale when SnapNFTs are sold and can review their total rewards balance at any time on their Collect profile:

SnapNFTs empowers Collectors with:

“Why Buy” Transparency

Each SnapNFT clearly states its value with a “Why Buy” explainer based on its license, empowering collectors with clarity before every purchase.

NFT Utility Beyond Ownership “Put Your NFT to Work”

On Collect, SnapNFT holders can resell (or “flip”) NFTs in their collection; however, the value goes beyond trading. Each SnapNFT unlocks creative possibilities: holders can remix their NFT (with the original artist’s approval), display it on any screen, and even turn it into custom physical items through their Put Your NFT to Work feature.

Remixing SnapNFTs

The Remix feature on Collect turns SnapNFTs into collaborative canvases.

Collectors can restyle their favorite SnapNFTs to produce a remixed NFT of another artist’s work while giving them credit and sharing the benefits.

Original creators can approve derivative versions and earn from future sales.

  • One-time fee: Original Creator receives 100 Community Credit Rewards to allow their SnapNFT to be Remixed.
  • Primary Sales: The collector who produces the Remixed NFT (Remixer) and the Original Creator each receive a 40% revenue split
  • Secondary Sales: The remixer and the Original Creator each receive a 10% revenue split

Display Art Anywhere

SnapNFTs make it easy for collectors to showcase their digital art through Gallery Links, allowing SnapNFTs to be displayed on a Samsung TV, mobile phone or desktop browser or other digital screens anywhere in the world.

This feature turns SnapNFTs into a part of everyday life, helping:

  1. Collectors enjoy their art in new and dynamic ways
  2. Creators attract new Collectors by sharing their Art

Here’s one Gallery Link to try, containing “Golden Threads of a Dream” NFT by Katya Klein.

Physical Items Make NFTs Tangible

Creators can convert their SnapNFTs into physical items—bridging the gap between digital and real-world fandom. This functionality turns digital art into lifestyle expression, deepening collector-creator connections.

The Future of Collecting Starts Here
