Google & Dapper Labs Announce Multi-Year Partnership
Over the past year, Dapper Labs has grown to be one of the major players within the NFT ecosystem. Having spearheaded legacy projects like CryptoKitties before embarking on a multi-billion dollar NBA Top Shot endeavor, today they’ve taken another step towards the future of web3 by announcing a major partnership with Google.
In an effort to support Dapper’s Flow blockchain, Google Cloud will offer up its infrastructure, taking on the role of Dapper’s network operator. As Flow already supports more than 50 applications with 2,000+ developers building on the blockchain, this partnership will assist in scalability for the NFT giant.
According to Dapper’s CEO Roham Gharegozlou, builders will experience greater ease of access with the ability to connect to Flow access nodes at a lower latency via Google Cloud services. This latest move also not only helps set Google apart from it’s hosting competitors, but gives the brand some credibility as a developer-friendly platform.
“It’s really about helping them with rapid and sustainable growth. Blockchain technology is becoming more and more mainstream. So companies like Dapper need scalable, secure infrastructure to grow their business, and even more importantly, support their networks.”
Janet Kennedy, VP Google Cloud North America
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Google support blockchain technology, as the search engine giant currently resides on the governing council for ledger network Hedera Hashgraph and previously launched tools for Bitcoin data analytics platform BigQuery.
