The third annual NFT.NYC conference was held this week, with a barrage of events and programming scheduled for Nov. 2 to 4. The 500-plus speaker event drew artists, builders and enthusiasts from all over the world to convene in New York City’s Times Square for a celebration of NFT community and culture.

Featuring appearances from celebrities such as Timbaland and Quentin Tarantino, to NFT stars including Beeple and Metakovan, the annual conference was a whirlwind.

Here’s a recap of highlights that happened during the third and final day.

Dreamverses hosted its first annual NFT festival to close out day three of NFT.NYC. The gallery — produced by Metapurse, the largest NFT fund in the world — featured pieces from 150 artists, including a one-of-a-kind viewing experience of Beeple’s Everydays: First 5000 Days.

Complete with a Beeple meet-and-greet and hallucinatory AR experience from Carsten Höller, the gallery ran from 12 to 4 p.m. before Dreaverse re-opened for the party from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Featuring DJ sets from Eli Escobar and Stretch Armstrong before headliner Alesso played for an absolutely packed crowd, Dreamverse was one of the largest parties to happen during NFT.NYC.

Rare Pepe Nakamoto Card Auction

MetaKovan, founder of the previously aforementioned Metapurse and one of the largest investors/collectors in the NFT space, purchased a Rare Pepe Nakamoto Card at auction on day three of NFT.NYC. With a winning bid of $500,000, Metakovan — who also spoke at NFT.NYC a day prior — added the legendary Rare Pepe Card to his and Metapurse’s impressive collection of high-value NFTs. (MetaKovan’s most notable NFT purchase to date is Beeple’s Everydays: The First 5000 Days NFT for $69 million in March.)

Hosted by Mint Gold Dust, a digital ecosystem for connecting creators, the vintage NFT auction was held at the NFT.NYC Official Happy Hour as the second in a series of vintage auctions that showcase the ecosystem’s growing marketplace,

NFT Affirmations GN Party

Prominent project NFT Affirmations threw its own themed event to close out NFT.NYC. Featuring live music and pieces on display from more than a dozen crypto artists, the GN party ironically closed out the conference at a former bank building.

Complete with a merch drop and giveaway of 25 NFT x Infinite Objects, GN boasted appearances from a diverse range of web3 founders, developers, NFT influencers, builders and celebrities. For more info about NFT Affirmations, check out nft now’s behind the drop video about the influential project.
