World of Women Creator Signs With Madonna & BAYC Manager Guy Oseary
Guy Oseary is quickly becoming the go-to NFT talent manager. Today the music industry veteran, who represents Madonna, U2, and more, added the NFT project World of Women to his growing roster.
This latest move comes only months after Oseary signed the Bored Ape Yacht Club — one of the most popular NFT collections in existence. Similar to BAYC, the signing of WoW will see Oseary and co. explore opportunities in film, television, music, gaming and consumer products for the influential project, Variety reports.
World of Women — which launched in July 2021 — is a collection of 10,000 illustrated portrait NFTs that is said by its creator, Yam Karkai, to be a “community celebrating representation, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all.” Having hit the market along with countless other avatar collectible projects in the Summer of 2021, WoW has continued to stand out as not only one of the few major NFT projects created and run by a team of women, but as one of the most visually striking PFP projects available.
“I could not be more excited to start 2022 with this new chapter,” Yam Karkai, creator of World of Women told Variety. “The World of Women team is thrilled to be working with Guy Oseary — his expertise is truly generational, and we cannot imagine a better partner to help maximize the project’s potential and achieve our goals.”
In response to this latest news, WoW — which has generated over $120 million in trading volume since launch — has seen a significant increase in secondary sales. With members of WoW’s vibrant community including Reese Witherspoon, Gary Vaynerchuk, Logan Paul and more, Oseary says he looks forward to helping Karkai further develop the promising brand.
“Yam and the World of Women team are leading the way to change that narrative. They built a community that is authentic, diverse, and one-of-a-kind. All of which directly translates through the magnificent artwork,” Oseary told Variety. “Their core values of educating and empowering females in the art, technology, and NFT spaces are incredibly inspirational, and I’m looking forward to doing anything I can to further their message, influence, and reach.”
