Jack Butcher on Visualizing Value for Web3 Communities

NFT Now Podcast Season: 1 Episode: 37

December 15, 2021

The NFT space is dominated by visuals. As creators and consumers of art, those within the non-fungible community are sure to understand the importance and impact of visual storytelling as a tool to communicate project, brand and of course artistic value. And when it comes to visual storytelling, Jack Butcher is quickly becoming an NFT household name.

Butcher is a seasoned creative director who has worked with some of the most successful brands in existence. Having started out in graphic design, he spent a decade of working in Fortune 100 advertising before completely rebuilding his personal brand and business model.

Through productizing himself and finding a niche in creative direction, Butcher assumed the role of an expert in helping brands communicate the value of their product. Then, at the start of 2021, everything changed when his eyes were opened to NFTs.

“It actually took me a few weeks or months to come around to the idea [of NFTs] after a few people reached out to me,” Butcher tells nft now. “I did my own little bit of due diligence to begin with. And with the platforms that I saw in January, I was like, ‘What is going on here? This is like Starship Enterprise level complexity.'”

On this episode of the nft now podcast, Jack Butcher discusses his pivot into NFTs, keeping up with trends, visual storytelling and more.

As Founder of Visualize Value, Butcher has created a community aimed towards helping its members build independent income on the internet. And when he entered the NFT space, which at face value can seem like a collective of artists, investors and collectors doing the same thing, Butcher quickly found a new niche for himself in breaking down core concepts of NFT tech and culture to help enthusiasts and purists of all levels learn and grow.

“The intention is to take these things that are really difficult to understand, or things that have helped me in the past, and then retroactively repackage them,” Butcher tells nft now. “I’ve thought about it is like: ‘How do you design a more attractive front cover for an idea or a concept that makes people want to dig in a little further.'”

With humor, analytics, case studies, digital art and more, Butcher has continued to empower artists and bulders in the NFT space through his now expanded Visualize Value community. Having embedded himself deep NFT culture for many months, Butcher is optimistic about the future of digital ownership and says that NFTs are going “blow us away in the coming years.”
